Painters. Emil Carlsen (1853-1932) was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. He came to the U.S. in 1872, and worked in New York City. He trained his son, Dines (1901-1966). Helen Elizabeth Keep was a painter in Detroit, Mich., who studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
